About the job: Junior Bookkeeper


Responsibilities:

  1. Manage books for 2 companies and 2 trusts.
  2. Experience in management accounts.
  3. Process monthly payroll.
  4. Prepare and submit PAYE returns.
  5. Prepare and submit VAT returns.
  6. Complete tax returns.
  7. Maintain regular communication with clients (via telephone and email).
  8. Prepare annual financial statements and working paper files.
  9. Utilize Pastel Payroll.
  10. Conduct forecasting.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Matric is essential plus a tertiary qualification.
  2. High level of competency in English, both verbal and written.
  3. 5 years of experience in bookkeeping, with strong financial acumen and understanding.
  4. Experience in a similar position is a distinct advantage.
  5. Knowledge of accounting principles and VAT.
  6. Understanding of e-filing.
