Janitor

Summary

AC Transit is currently recruiting a qualified candidate for the Janitor position. Under close supervision, this role performs janitorial duties for district facilities, grounds, and adjacent walkways. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and positive attitude. This is an excellent opportunity to work for the largest bus agency in California.

Responsibilities

• Cleans restrooms, kitchen and dining areas, doors, refrigerators, drinking fountains, baseboards, storage areas, and floors.
• Cleans enclosed parking structures.
• Empties trash cans and recycling receptacles.
• Vacuum carpets and floors, and mop and wax floors.
• Sets up furniture for classrooms, meetings, etc.
• Removes dust from furniture, office areas and horizontal surfaces.
• Washes windows and walls, and sweeps and/or washes walkways.
• Performs related duties as required.
