About the Role
Information technology specialists, or IT specialists, are responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and supporting an organisations technological systems. They ensure smooth and secure hardware, software, and network operations, supporting end-users and troubleshooting technical issues.Depending on the specific job profiles, IT specialists may also be called network technicians, network specialists, IT technicians, and IT consultants. Their role overlaps with that of technical support specialists. But, while the latter provides only user support and troubleshooting, an IT specialist also handles system analysis, IT project management, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure.
