Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Gateshead
Protocol Education is seeking a committed and experienced HLTA to join a specialist school provision in Gateshead on a full-time basis.
This role is ideal for someone who is confident leading learning independently and has experience supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead whole-class learning when required
- Deliver engaging and accessible lessons
- Support pupils with SEND and SEMH needs
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams
- Monitor and celebrate pupil progress
Essential requirements:
- HLTA qualification or relevant classroom leadership experience
- Experience working with children with additional needs
