Health Information Coder

Position Summary

Sullivan County Memorial Hospital is seeking a detail‑oriented Health Information Analyst/Coder to review and code medical records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and proper reimbursement. The candidate should have strong ICD‑10‑CM, CPT, and HCPCS knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to confidentiality. This is a full‑time position.

Essential Job Functions

• Code inpatient, outpatient, and ER records using ICD‑10‑CM and CPT.
• Review charts for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain coding accuracy of at least 96%.
• Ensure records are coded within 72 hours.
• Collaborate with providers to resolve missing documentation.
• Support compliance, audits, and quality initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
