About the Role
Job Summary
Assists in patient care before, during and after diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Assists the physician with the equipment and tools necessary to complete procedures. Responsible for inspecting, disinfecting, assembling, processing and distributing patient care instruments, equipment and supplies in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards. Contributes to the smooth operations of the unit.
Essential Functions
+ Obtains and organizes necessary equipment, supplies, and instruments for each procedural case. Cleans soiled instruments and equipment utilizing the appropriate personal protection equipment (PPE). Inspects and tests instruments and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
+ Assists the Gastroenterologist/physician with the technical tools necessary for treatment of the patient.
