Purpose
Oversee all aspects of fresh department operations (produce, meat, seafood, dairy, bakery, deli).
Ensure customer service excellence, product freshness, and compliance with food safety standards.
Achieve sales, margin, and labor objectives for fresh departments.
Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Actively engage with customers in fresh sections.
- Resolve complaints and ensure satisfaction.
Operations Management
- Direct daily operations of fresh food displays, backroom, and production areas.
- Supervise receiving, stocking, and merchandising of fresh goods.
Inventory & Purchasing
- Order merchandise and coordinate with suppliers.
- Monitor stock levels to reduce waste and maintain availability.
Food Safety & Quality
- Enforce hygiene and sanitation standards.
