The Food Service Worker is responsible for serving meals that are nutritious and that take into consideration children’s various cultures and individual nutritional needs. This individual will prepare meals in accordance with USDA guidelines and strictly adhere to health, safety, food handling, and sanitation requirements before, during and after meal preparation. The Food Service Worker follows menu guidelines using age-appropriate potion sizes and adjusts when necessary due to the availability of menu items or an individual child’s needs, all in accordance with the CACFP standards.
