About the Role
The APS Engineering Support Division (AES) provides reliable operations and technical support to the Advanced Photon Source user community. AES works to ensure that the Advanced Photon Source maintains its status as a preeminent scientific user facility.
Floor (Operations) Coordinators perform a wide range of tasks related to personnel safety, work planning and control, and operations on the experiment floor of the Advanced Photon Source.
Responsibilities can include:
+ One on one work planning reviews with scientific staff prior to experiments
+ Liaison between disparate facility groups, such as maintenance staff, support staff, scientific staff, and management
+ Oversight and scheduling of maintenance, repairs, or construction
+ Collaboration with team members and other groups to achieve organizational goals
+ Problem identification and resolution
