Fixed Plant Operator Trainee - Upgrading

Role Summary

At Suncor, we produce and provide energy.

In this role you’ll work side‑by‑side with some of the most talented operators in the energy industry to perform work that supports smooth and efficient operations of our Base Plant Upgrading assets. You will play a key part in Suncor’s Conduct of Safe Operations (CoSO) process, maintaining consistent standards for safety and reliability 24/7.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all operating processes and procedures during operations to ensure the safety of people, equipment, and the environment.
• Prepare and complete daily area logs and communicate significant changes and findings.
• Provide direction and supervision to the maintenance and contract personnel.
• Ensure timely action and process adjustments during plant upsets that are consistent with operational objectives and target outputs.
• Prepare equipment and systems for maintenance and commissioning.
