Job Description
- Lead and manage the two teams for the month‑end close to ensure deadlines and deliverables are completed accurately and on time, advising the team on journal validation/substantiation and supporting proper audit trails.
- liaise with internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations and driving continuous improvement within the team to ensure quality delivery and output.
- Provide overall leadership to the team as well as coaching and mentoring to team members.
- Manage team performance, KPI on a daily basis with a solid back‑up plan.
- Monitor and review to ensure all regional key risks are identified and action plans are taken in a timely manner, with issues escalated appropriately.
- Establish metrics on key risk areas and review them monthly to ensure entity results are fully compliant with all relevant accounting standards, current best practice and other regulations.
