About the Role
FortisBC is hiring an Experienced Powerline Technician to provide full-time support within their electric branch. Your role will encompass standby duties and training of apprentices in electric utility practices.
Reporting to a staff supervisor, your responsibilities will include ensuring safety compliance and mentoring lower classification employees. Candidates must possess a Journeyman Powerline Technician Certificate and practical knowledge of transmission and distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform standby service as directed
• Train and mentor new technicians and apprentices
• Execute duties typically performed by lower classifications

• Knowledge of protective devices and utility systems
