ESTIMATORTASK DESCRIPTION • Evaluate cost of materials and/or labor • Prepare general cost estimates • Prepare second tier cost estimates • Estimate general expenses • Conduct business cases and provide cost estimates for proposed projects • Read and interpret plans, maps, drawings and specifications • Use computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) and other software systems • Evaluate costs prior to contract award ● Follow quantity takeoff procedures • Implement monitoring and reporting processes • Prepare and maintain directories of suppliers and specialty trade contractors • Communicate and liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors and consult with them on changes and adjustments to cost estimates SKILLS AND APPLICATION CRITERIA • Ability to work in a team environment • Relevant experience in miscellaneous metal or structural steel drawings WE OFFER • Excellent working conditions • Group insurance, details provided upon request • Equipment and work s...
