About the Role
A specialist steelwork and architectural metalwork contractor based in Leicestershire is currently seeking an Estimator to join their busy steel shop team. This role focuses on a mix of architectural metalwork, such as stairways and balustrades, alongside structural builder beams. Start Date: ASAP Salary : Up to £50,000 per annum (DOE) Hours : 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM (Full-time, Office-based) Contract : Permanent Duties : Preparing cost estimates for architectural metalwork (stairways, balustrades, handrails). Estimating for structural steelwork and builder beams. Reviewing customer drawings and specifications to produce material take-offs. Calculating labour, fabrication, and finishing costs. Obtaining quotes from material suppliers and specialist subcontractors. Liaising with the production team to ensure feasibility and lead times.
