Lead pre-construction surveys including migratory bird nesting surveys (i.e., nest sweeps), amphibian visual surveys and salvages, etc. Monitor construction and operational activities to support mitigation and protection of wildlife and sensitive environmental features. Promote safety awareness and the safe performance of our work.
About the Role
ERM is hiring an Environmental Field Technician to support pre-construction surveys and environmental monitoring mainly near Smithers, British Columbia, and in northern Canada. In this role, you will lead pre-construction surveys and monitor construction and operational activities at a variety of project sites. This is a full-time (12 hours per day, 84 hours per week, 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off), limited-term role with a duration of 4 months, extendable. Training will be provided for client-specific and site-specific safety, security, sampling, and inspection procedures.
