Engineering Test Technician

Engineering technician will be taking direction from an engineer on day to day. Will get trained on a handful of tests that are done in that group. 6 or so tests that would learn how to do on their own. Would manage product coming in and do respective tests for that product based on the work order. Will take reports from engineers, set-up tests and report data back to engineer. Primary testing will be done on packaging products. Tests and equipment likely working with - shaking table, drop tester, slam table (set table, slides down and hits wall to see what happens with force), edge crusher, static weight loading, loading on top of package, etc. Examples of products testing: Skids of mulch, rocks, top soil, etc. or other boxes or packaging that are stacked up on a pallet. Anything found in hardware store that would get shipped. Purpose is to limit the amount of loss experienced during shipping. Shaking table – does it move on pallet as an example. Could help set-up ...
