Electrician

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot electrical equipment including MCCs, PLCs, VFDs, electrical distribution, transformers and basic process controls.
• Maintain existing electrical equipment.
• Read, create and interpret schematics.
• Solid understanding of electrical test equipment and different voltage hazards.
• Work with up to 13,800 volts.
• Follow safety procedures and policies.
• Able to operate equipment such as mobile lifts and forklift.
• Office duties including daily report work and work order systems (JDE).

Qualifications

• Licensed Electrician (Construction or Industrial).
• Ability to follow and understand all CSA/ESA rules and regulations.
• Understanding of PLC systems and VFDs.
• Experience in process environment considered an asset.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
