As an Electrical Engineer, you will play an integral part in the development and design of electrical control systems for new underground drilling machinery. Your work will involve collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure electrical systems meet stringent functional safety and industry standards such as ISO and IEC . You will be responsible for the embedded control software development, implementing advanced functions like motion control, sensor data processing, and communication protocols tailored to rugged mining conditions.
The role demands proficiency in industrial communication protocols including CAN bus and EtherCAT, with responsibilities that extend to debugging and optimizing these systems to ensure operational robustness. You will design and implement control algorithms such as PID control, state machine logic, and fault diagnosis features to enhance equipment intelligence and safety.
