**Job Description:**
NOTE: This role is based in New York City and encourages a minimum of two days per week in the SoHo office. Some roles or teams may require additional in-office attendance if the essential functions of the role require it.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Editor of Scholastic News 1 for first graders.
The Editor will create engaging, age-appropriate articles and teaching resources for first-grade classrooms nationwide.
RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Concept and write delightful, engaging nonfiction articles aligned with first-grade teaching standards.
+ Accountable for all print and digital assets, ensuring that they are high-quality, classroom ready, and delivered on time.
+ Understand current grade-level pedagogy and apply it strategically and creatively to the magazine's content.
+ Collaborate with the Education Editor to ensure that the magazine's content aligns with current educational standards and best practices.
