The role of the Document Control Specialist is to ensure all customer/regulatory documentation is free from errors and maintained as specified by all applicable regulations. Document Control Specialist focus on developing and maintaining efficient record-keeping systems that enable fast and easy access to important information. The records, policies and procedures the Document Control Specialist team develops must cover handling of data across its life span from data creation to storage to retrieval to destruction. Precision and accuracy is required when inputting data and filing it correctly. The position also requires monitoring compliance with data privacy laws, training end users in record management software and providing technical support.
