Desk Editor

Reuters is looking for an ambitious copy editor to work on our fast‑paced Global News Desk. Expect to work alongside award‑winning journalists in a global news organization long recognized for its commitment to accuracy and fairness. The role is posted for Manila. You will be expected to work some weekend and evening shifts as part of this position.

About The Role

As a Desk Editor, you will:

• Write and edit breaking news stories from around the globe while producing clean, engaging stories at speed.
• Copyedit longer initiative stories for a global audience that may take more than a day.
• Ensure every story is balanced and includes fair comment, alongside engaging visuals for the stories you're editing.
• Collaborate with colleagues around the world.

About You

• Have experience as a reporter or production editor; a track record in business or finance is a plus but by no means necessary.
