DB Specialist – MongoDB
Contract | Hybrid (Newbury, UK – 3 Days Onsite) | £650–£700 per day | 12 Months
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced MongoDB DB Specialist to support a major enterprise transformation programme. This role will focus on designing scalable, cloud-native database solutions, leading Oracle-to-MongoDB migrations, and delivering high-performance data platforms within large-scale modernisation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities for the Mongo DB Specialist include
* Design MongoDB document-based data models for API-first and event-driven architectures
* Optimise schema design for scalability, flexibility, and high-volume performance
* Define indexing strategies and aggregation pipelines
* Lead Oracle-to-MongoDB migration, including bulk loads, delta migration, and reconciliation
* Collaborate with cloud teams on AWS migration tooling (DMS/Glue)
