Commissioning Relay Engineer – Helsinki, Finland

The Commissioning Relay Engineer is responsible for the testing, commissioning, and validation of protection relays and associated control systems within a large-scale data centre environment. This role ensures that all protection schemes operate correctly, safely, and in accordance with design specifications and industry standards

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out commissioning of protection relays and associated control systems across MV and LV electrical distribution networks
• Perform functional testing of protection schemes including overcurrent, differential, distance, and backup protection
• Conduct secondary injection testing using approved test equipment (e.g., Omicron, Megger)
• Validate relay settings against protection coordination studies and design documentation
• Test and verify interlocking schemes, trip circuits, alarms, and SCADA interfaces
