Job Description

Immediate Supervisor: Superintendent

Job Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent

Specific Duties

• Assist superintendent with interviews, screenings, and recommendations of employment of district custodians.
• Provide in-service meetings and training opportunities for custodial personnel.
• Supervise day-to-day operations of school cleaning.
• Assist other custodians as needed.
• Order and maintain cleaning supplies.
• Work with teachers and principals in maintaining the cleanliness of the schools.
• Plan daily requirements for cleaning each school.
• Monitor attendance of custodians and schedule substitutes as needed.
• Monitor each custodian to ensure no abuse of leave time.
• Ensure that all custodians work the allotted contract days.
