Crane Operator

**Job Description**
BAE Systems Maritime Solutions Norfolk is seeking to hire a Crane Operator. The selected candidate must be able to perform the following duties:

+ Set up cranes for traveling conduct daily PM s, read and understand load chart.
+ Plan and assist with critical lifts.
+ Set up crane for heavy lift, Plan, specify and position rigging equipment for accomplishing work in a safe and efficient manner.
+ Spot pad eyes in engine room for removing equipment Read and interpret job specifications.
+ Work with minimum supervision.
+ May be assigned miscellaneous tasks outside craft as required.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
Required Experience:

+ Minimum 3-5 years experience.

Required Skills:

+ Must be able to operate cranes with friction controls.
+ Must be able to operate Hydraulic and Electrical cranes.
+ Must be able to operate cranes up to 140' off the ground.
