- Program execution: Loading CNC programs, monitoring machine operation, making adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and quality.
- Quality control: Inspecting finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure they meet specifications.
- Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving machine malfunctions, reporting issues to maintenance personnel.
- Maintenance: Performing basic cleaning and lubrication of CNC machines.
- Reading blueprints: Interpreting engineering drawings to understand part dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements.
- Data entry: Recording production information, such as cycle times and scrap rates.
