About the Role
Job Description
- Set up CNC milling machines, including tooling, fixtures, and work offsets.
- Load and prove out CNC programs, making edits to improve cycle times and quality.
- Select appropriate cutting tools and parameters for different materials.
- Set work offsets, tool offsets, and datum points accurately.
- Carry out first‑off and in‑process inspections using measuring equipment.
- Monitor machine operation and adjust settings to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Identify and resolve machining or tooling issues.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping.
- Ensure all work meets engineering drawings, tolerances, and quality.
- Strong understanding of CNC milling processes (3‑axis, 4‑axis or 5‑axis as required)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD & T.
- Competence with measuring tools (verniers, micrometers, bore gauges...
