Responsibilities

Machine Operation and Setup

• Set up and operate CNC machines (e.g., mills, lathes, engraving machines) tailored for jewelry-scale production.
• Select and install tools, jigs, and fixtures needed for machining.
• Load material (precious metals, wax, or resin blanks) and calibrate equipment.

Programming and Editing

• Create, modify, or interpret CNC programs using G-code or CAM software (e.g., RhinoCAM, ArtCAM, or similar).
• Optimize tool paths to enhance precision and minimize material waste.

Precision Machining

• Machine components to extremely tight tolerances (often microns) required for jewelry like rings, bezels, and settings.
• Monitor machine during operation to ensure smooth performance and prevent tool crashes.
