At WSP, we're seeking an AWIPS Application Developer to refine our cloud-hosted AWIPS platform. This deeply technical role involves using Python and Java to maintain, modernize, and develop capabilities within our operational forecasting tools. You will collaborate with meteorologists, ensuring timely data availability and improving the overall quality and resilience of weather forecasting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and enhance the cloud-based AWIPS environment
• Develop AWIPS components using Python and Java
• Manage ingestion of model and observational data
• Troubleshoot data issues in complex models
