The role of a Civil Engineer is to work as a team member as part of project teams of all sizes. You should be able to evaluate, select, specify, and engineer systems or products for a project. You will perform a variety of tasks which may include design, calculations, field work, coordination of tasks, and technical writing.
You will apply your technical skills, project delivery, and developing leadership abilities to a complex array of multi-disciplinary planning, design and construction projects for a wide range of infrastructure for municipal, federal and other clients. Projects will typically involve watermains, sewers, forcemains, culverts, municipal and site roads, sidewalks, parking lots, stormwater management facilities including Low Impact Development, grading and drainage.
