Certification Officer

Location: Halifax, N.S., Canada — Hybrid (40% onsite / 60% remote). The role requires travel to naval vessel sites, dockyards, and the Thales Malahat facility.

Position Summary

This role supports Royal Canadian Navy programs for the Arctic and Offshore Patrol Vessels (AOPV), Joint Support Ship (JSS) class, and Minor Warships and Auxiliary Vessels (MWAV) under the Thales in‑service contracts. The Certification Officer is the main point of contact for Classification Society surveyors, coordinates scheduled surveys, and advises the Service Delivery and Engineering teams on certification matters related to corrective and planned maintenance, engineering changes, and regulatory compliance.
