Responsibilities
Examine documents and conduct interviews to determine admissibility of persons seeking entry into Canada.
Grant landed‑immigrant status, admit persons or order detention or deportation.
Conduct appraisals of articles.
Secure necessary travel documents for deported people.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Proficiency in Hindi, Dogri, Punjabi (Panjabi)
- Experience in immigration or related field (1 to less than 7 months)
- Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Windows
- Specialized environmental skills and knowledge
- Criminal record check
- Accurate, client focused, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, judgment, organized
