Buyer

Position Summary

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Buyer is responsible for all aspects of the procurement process, including supplier evaluation, strategic sourcing, supplier performance monitoring, and analyzing data for cost savings. The Buyer negotiates pricing, vendor selection or development, generates and manages purchases while ensuring production requirements are met.

Primary Responsibilities

• Source and ensure on‑time availability of materials required for custom, engineered to order complex products.
• Assist with supplier quality initiatives including supplier evaluation, scorecard preparation and delivery, create and maintain supplier corrective action plans aimed to reduce delivery and quality issues within the supply base.
• Facilitate resolution of supplier quality and fulfillment related issues.
• Achieve quality, cost, inventory, and delivery targets.
