- Continuously scan, prioritize and investigate potential future markets, trends and technologies to determine their attractiveness for stainless steel and advanced material products
- Analyse new, Oil& Gas and emerging application areas (new to OTK) and assess their commercial significance for stainless steel applications
- Develop and apply a structured, repeatable process for opportunity evaluation
- Conduct both desktop and field research — including conferences, forums, institutes and universities — combining technical understanding with commercial acumen
- Determine the rough commercial potential (value) of specific opportunities and markets for OTK
- Contribute to the new idea Generation within CS&P
- Collaborate closely with Sales, R&D, Product Management, AM Development and Market Intelligence teams, as well as Value Chain partners, customers, associations and industry bodies
