About the Role

Overview

The Business Development Consultant is expected to achieve strategic and financial targets by creating and/or growing new business from clients across a spectrum of revenue‑generating sources at Red Deer Polytechnic (RDP). This position is primarily responsible for proactively generating demand by building a pipeline of qualified prospects, negotiating contracts, closing contracts, managing forecasts to achieve a specified individual sales target, ongoing stewardship of clients within the assigned portfolio(s), as well as critical decision making related to relationship management for RDP, corporate training solutions, revenue augmentation of grant applications, service engagements, and other ancillary revenue. The secondary responsibility is to identify opportunities for external stakeholders to engage with internal departments/schools at RDP in a manner that brings mutual benefit to all parties.
