Job Summary

Under general supervision, the MWR Technician – Bar Tenders coordinates activities required to operate Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) facilities.

Principal Accountabilities

• Must meet the installation's minimum serving age (21) for alcoholic beverages.
• Capable of pouring and serving drinks such as beer and wine.
• Capable of mixing drinks according to the establishment’s specified recipes.
• Capable of preparing garnishes.
• Understand alcohol safety procedures to prevent over-intoxication.
• Knowledge of basic bar terminology.
• Capable of standing for several hours at a time.
• Understands state’s laws for required identification prior to serving alcoholic beverages.
• Able to properly handle intoxicated patrons according to established guidelines.
