Associate Counsel

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary of Position

The Associate Counsel is responsible for providing legal advice to the Company concerning litigation prevention, litigation management, and legal compliance.  Areas of specific emphasis include consumer transactions, safety, supply-chain and contractor relationships, as well as regulatory and other compliance matters. The Associate Counsel works closely with multiple internal clients and external relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·   Manage and resolve all aspects of pending litigation for the company, utilizing outside counsel when appropriate, including but not limited to disputes, demands, claims, and lawsuits related to construction projects and processes (including design and construction defects, lien claims, injury claims, and payment disputes), consumer transaction and related customer disputes, and commercial disputes with suppliers, contractors...
