Assistant Resident Engineer- NJDOT

We strive to have a positive impact on developing the infrastructure that keeps our communities running and to be successful in our goals, we’re seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer to provide critical construction management support to ensure our projects stay on track.

We’ll look to you to perform daily project administration and coordination for construction projects related to heavy transportation infrastructure. You will be responsible for leading the inspection staff including reviewing daily inspector reports, handling project correspondence and maintaining accurate records, producing estimates, assisting with the change order process, reviewing contractor payroll reports and EEO documents.

You should have considerable knowledge of NJDOT highway, bridge, practices and procedures; have the ability to prepare correspondence, reports and recommendations concerning construction issues; have a demonstrated ability to deal effectively with others. In addition, you sho...
