Assistant Chef

About the Role

Based at Bedgebury Café, TN17 2SJ, you will be working 30 hours a week, working 4 days out of 7 on a rota basis, with shift times of 8:00am – 4:30pm. You will play a key role in preparing and serving meals to a high standard while ensuring food safety and hygiene regulations are followed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and cooking of meals
• Serve food and maintain portion control
• Ensure kitchen and equipment are kept clean and hygienic
• Follow health and safety and food hygiene procedures
• Travel between sites as required

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and flexible with a positive attitude
• Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle
