Accounting Intern

An Accounts Receivable (AR) Intern supports the finance department by managing incoming payments, preparing invoices, and reconciling customer accounts. Key duties include applying cash receipts, resolving billing discrepancies, and assisting with month‑end closing. This role requires strong attention to detail, Excel proficiency, and pursuing an accounting/finance degree.

Core Responsibilities

• Invoice Generation: Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately.
• Cash Application: Record and post customer payments (checks, credit cards, bank transfers) to the ERP system.
• Reconciliation: Reconcile AR sub‑ledger to the general ledger and perform bank reconciliations.
• Collections Support: Assist in monitoring aging reports and follow up with customers on overdue payments via email/phone.
