Supervised Introductory Research in Biology

DutiesDuties will include meetings with the student cohort to discuss expectations, time commitment and management, and research progress. Weekly responsibilities will include assessing student journal entries that document research progress and responses to reflection prompts. The TA will provide effective, constructive formative feedback to each student to support their development as emerging researchers. Minimum Qualifications Includes: Qualifications include previous research experience and strong academic preparation in the Biological Sciences, including appropriate background knowledge in the relevant subject or specialty. The TA must have completed a BSc. Because this position supports active research projects, it requires an understanding of biological research practices, strong accountability and responsibility, and experience with how researchers design studies and collect and manage data.
