Senior Anatomical Pathology Technician

Overview

We are inviting applications from compassionate and dedicated professionals who hold the RSPH Certificate and Diploma / Level 3 Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology to join our Mortuary team in a full-time, permanent role as a senior Anatomical Pathology technician.

The role is varied and can be emotionally demanding. We seek someone with exceptional sensitivity, discretion, and respect for confidentiality. Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent organisation and time‑management abilities, and a commitment to teamwork are essential. You will work closely with colleagues on a daily basis, contributing to a service that makes a genuine difference during critical moments for families and professionals alike.

The position will include rotation between the LGI & SJUH mortuaries, and will be part of the out‑of‑hours on‑call rota for evenings, Bank holidays, and weekends. Participation in the rota will be required.
