A welcoming specialist school in Durham d is recruiting an EYFS Classroom Assistant to support young learners with additional needs.
The provision supports pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition, speech and language challenges, developmental delays and sensory needs through a child-centred approach.
The Role:
- Assisting children during learning and play sessions
- Supporting speech, language and communication targets
- Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Helping pupils build confidence and social skills
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff
You Will Have:
- Childcare, nursery or SEN experience
- A patient and supportive attitude
- Knowledge of early years learning and development
- A genuine interest in SEN education
