The successful candidate

will: Understand and communicate effectively in both Low German and English.Confidently assist in creating and evaluating educational resources that teach and celebrate Mennonite culture and language.Demonstrate enthusiasm and maintain a student-centered approach. Collaborative with staff and families to foster positive engagement, clear communication, and understanding of school routines, programs, and expectations.Communicate diplomatically and sensitively with teachers to provide guidance on Mennonite customs, values, and expectations, supporting positive relationships and effective classroom practices. Contribute to the development and review of school and division policies that affirm and respect Mennonite traditions and values. Strong knowledge of or lived experience within the Mennonite community is required, along with experience or training in working with Low German–speaking students and families.
