Medical Technologist

JOB SUMMARY

The Medical Technologist is responsible for performing and observing tests on patient’s specimens and correctly recording all results based on the department’s standard operating procedures and policies. The role will be assigned to at least three different sections of the laboratory and will be required to use and maintain all laboratory equipment in these areas correctly. The Medical Technologist will also maintain the Patient Analysis Report (PAR) and communicate with other department physicians and the hospital administration for critical results. The role includes recognizing results or problems that require referral to the Pathologist.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A Degree in Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology.
• Professional License from the Professional Regulatory Commission.
• Membership in good standing of the Philippine Association of Medical Technologist (PAMET).
