External Manufacturing Staff/Principle Engineer (Penang based)

onsemi is currently seeking a hands‑on Assembly Process Engineer to join our External Manufacturing team with a focus on assembly processes, preferably with experience in DA, WB or mold process. In this role, you will leverage your strong expertise in leading cost savings initiatives across multiple subcons. This position will be based in Penang subcon office and report to External Manufacturing Manager in KL.

Responsibilities

• Subcon operation management – focus on delivering best‑in‑class subcon performance in quality, yield, delivery
• Experience in assembly FOL and/or EOL processes, with expertise in either DA, WB or mold.
• Experience in DOE methodology & tools (Minitab, JMP) to develop new process windows or to assist in problem solving
• Good problem‑solving skills, able to identify & resolve assembly process problems/defects, perform root cause analysis & implement robust corrective actions
