Assistant Service Technician

Job Description

The Industrial Service business area focuses on service solutions and maintenance for all crane brands, for port equipment and machine tools; this includes repair, maintenance and service of lifting equipment, service inspection contracts, refurbishment and modernization projects, installation, testing and certification of overhead cranes and hoists. It is the original service provider for both Konecranes and Demag equipment. The role is for an Assistant Service Technician based in Richards Bay on a full time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the performance of inspections, maintenance and repairs on cranes and hoists at varied customer locations, as directed.
• Perform a general post repair audit prior to completion of work, documenting that all required safety features are functional or documenting deficiencies and attaching a deficiency tag to the crane.
